WHY STATIONERY...?
When she launched Party Pleazers in 2002, Laura was a full service event planner. Her work has evolved over the years to focus exclusively on stationery--continuing to reinvent her products as clients choose between traditional paper and modern electronic communications.

WHY PLEAZE...?
The difference is in the details.  Laura's artistic talents go beyond stationery to help clients organize and enjoy their special occasion!  Here's the bottom line:  Laura has lots of fantastic ideas and can't hush-up about them, whether clients want them or not!
Clients benefit from her relentless attention to detail which creates a unique event...time and time again.

WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE?  WALL STREET WIZ KID...
In 1990, Ms. Gordon's first experience on Wall Street was as a summer intern at Bear Stearns in fixed income sales. Laura started her "real" career in financial services at Chase Manhattan Bank, where she held various operations management positions from the onset as a member of an executive management  training program. In six years, Ms. Gordon advanced from an assistant treasurer of technology through second vice president of foreign exchange and commodity fund operations.

FROM WALL STREET TO MULBERRY STREET...In 2006, Laura travelled across the Hudson River to Newark to become director of business planning and communications at Prudential Financial in the Prudential Investments business.  She was a contributor on the communications task force supporting the merger of American Skandia and Prudential Annuities, providing the foundation for a successful integration of the two firms.  In addition, Ms. Gordon organized business communications for her constituents--including speeches and presentations--resulting in increased employee commitment and productivity compared to industry benchmarks, while securing two industry communications awards.  Her accomplishments also included planning meaningful and productive events, which allowed her clients to reach their audience and objectives.  Redesigning clearer client communications for the annuity business resulted in increased levels of customer understanding and decreased call-center volume.

FROM THE BOARDROOM TO THE CLASSROOM...
Ms. Gordon is first and foremost a teacher, holding certificates in elementary education, middle school mathematics, and business.  Her most recent achievement was securing highly qualified status in middle school language arts--illustrating her love of life-long learning.  She integrates elements of entrepreneurialism into her classes, and makes real-life connections from owning her own business to help her students learn how mathematics is used in every aspect of our lives--not just in the classroom.

NOT JUST ANOTHER PRETTY FACE...
